Kelly Arsenault is a native of Tennessee, and she has been dancing as long as she can remember. As a child she took ballet and jazz, but she was especially drawn to modern dance.
At age 11, Kelly joined the Tennessee Children’s Dance Ensemble. She was with the modern dance company for 6 years, performing around the globe including Taiwan, Singapore, and Indonesia. In her young adult life, Kelly was a member of UT Dance Company and Circle Modern Dance Company. And after relocating to New York City, she joined Von Ussar Danceworks and MAD About Dance. New York City also brought Kelly’s swing dance career to life. Along with her partner Mickey, she holds repeat victories at the Balboa Rendezvous for 2006, 2007, and 2010. She is a 2008 ABW American Balboa Classic champion, and she has also won the strictly balboa divisions at ILHC, the Eastern Balboa Championships, and the European Swing Dance Championships. In lindy hop she holds winning titles for the US Open, Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown, and Lindy Focus. Kelly currently lives out of a suitcase and teaches around the world... and she’s SO excited to be a part of ILHC!!!
